About me
Numquam ponenda est pluralitas sine necessitate.
I am Sven Rudloff, a German psychologist, science enthusiast, and energy industry professional.
For the first 8 years of my professional life I focused on people development, created and ran assessment centres and training programmes, and worked on HR IT projects. Then I moved on to HR policy and strategy, to finally end up in business strategy.
For almost 10 years I have been with the international utility E.ON, worked in their corporate headquarters, for 4 years in the UK, and now in their Renewables business back in Germany.
I love to work across national and functional boundaries. My current role is a combination of strategy, communication, and corporate office responsibilities.
Next to my full-time job I was crazy enough to start a part-time / distance PhD at the University of Leicester, looking at the role of emotions in how we perceive risks.
I consider myself a humanist, I love science and critical thinking, and am concerned about the public understanding of science. I love cats and everything British (except Marmite), and I watch too many TV series in my spare time. I hate sloppy thinking and sloppy typography, of which both I see a lot every day. Let’s try to eradicate it.
